Create an agent manually
Describe your agent and let AI write the prompt.
Last updated:
When no template fits, build an agent from scratch, with help.
Steps#
- In Agents, click New agent → Create manually.
- In the describe your agent box, write what the agent should do in plain words (e.g. "A receptionist for my clinic that books appointments and answers questions about our services").
- Click Generate: the assistant writes a system prompt and a first message, which then appear for you to review and edit.
- Pick a voice (play a sample) and set the language.
- Optionally add a notification email so a call summary is sent after every call.
- Click Create.
Everything else (the language model, transcription, audio clean-up, timing) comes from tuned platform defaults and is editable afterward on the config tabs. Every new agent starts on the Lifelike, real-time voice quality (Eleven v4 Turbo), the Europe/Athens time zone and a reply delay of 600 ms (1700 ms after an unfinished sentence); the dialog names the voice model and the time zone, and voice samples play at that quality.
Then#
Review the generated prompt (it is fully editable), preview the agent, Save, and Deploy.
