White-label mode and minutes for your projects
How white-label mode lets your projects pay you for minutes on your own Stripe account, and how a project gets its minutes while the mode is off.
Last updated:
On an Enterprise or Enterprise Plus package, your account can sell AI minutes of its own to the users of its projects. That is white-label mode, a switch in Settings > White-label. It is off for every account until an account administrator turns it on, including accounts that set up plans or bundles before the switch existed.
While white-label mode is on#
- You sell your own monthly plans and minute bundles to the users of your projects, at the prices you set, in Settings > Plans.
- They pay by card on your own Stripe account, which you connect with your Stripe keys in Settings > White-label, so the money goes to your own bank through Stripe and never through Voiceland.
- Voiceland issues no document for these sales, neither invoice nor receipt, and adds nothing to your price: the customer pays exactly the price you set. You collect with your own Stripe keys and issue the document to your customers yourself, by hand. Settings > Sales lists every payment your projects made to you.
- The minutes you sell come out of your account pool, and Voiceland keeps billing you for the pool exactly as before: your plan fee, the minutes you add and the automatic purchases.
While white-label mode is off#
Nobody in a project can pay for minutes, and your projects see no plans or bundles on offer. You, the account administrator, are the one who gives a project minutes, in Settings > Projects:
- Transfer minutes moves minutes from your account pool to the project, which keeps them until it uses them.
- The Account pool switch on a project lets it use the account's main pool when its own minutes run out.
A project user who opens the minutes dialog is told that only their account manager can transfer minutes to the project or let it use the main pool, and anyone who cannot act on a minutes notice is asked to contact their account manager.
Turning it on and off#
- Only a package that includes white-label (Enterprise, Enterprise Plus) can turn the mode on.
- You cannot turn it off while any project still has an active or overdue plan from you: the console names those projects. You can turn it off once those plans are cancelled, and you can cancel a project's plan yourself in Settings > Sales: it is not charged again, and the minutes already paid for stay with the project until its renewal date.
- A move to a package without white-label is refused for the same reason. When no project has such a plan, the move goes ahead and white-label mode turns off by itself.
Project low-minutes alert#
The Project low-minutes alert in Settings > Projects sets one threshold for every project of the account: 10 minutes unless you change it, anywhere from 5 to 1000. When a project's own minutes (the ones transferred to it, the ones it paid for and what is left on its plan) fall to that number or below, or when it runs out while it cannot use the main pool, the account owner (or, when the account has no owner contact, up to three of its account administrators) gets an email with a link that opens the transfer for that project. It comes at most once a month per project. A project that uses the main pool and simply has no minutes of its own sends nothing: the account's own notices already cover the pool.
