Guides, agent tools and answers to the questions people ask most, for setting up and tuning your voice agent.
Get started
What is a voice agent?
How agents, projects, numbers and calls fit together.
Your first agent in 3 steps
From an empty project to answering the phone.
Guides
Create an agent from a template
Start from a ready-made, industry-specific agent.
Create an agent manually
Describe your agent and let AI write the prompt.
Attach a phone number to an agent
Point a Voiceland number at an agent so callers reach it.
Troubleshoot agent behavior
Diagnose a real call and fix the agent with the AI Assistant.
Extend an agent's capabilities
Add tools, languages, notifications and integrations.
Languages & voices
Set the language(s) the agent speaks and understands, and pick a voice.
Behavior & timing
Tune interruptions, turn-taking, silence and call durations.
Recording & notifications
Record calls, get email summaries, and detect voicemail.
Security & transfers
Control where calls can be transferred and keep them safe.
Using the API & MCP
Automate everything from your own code or an AI agent.
Put your agent on your website
Embed a voice + chat bubble on any site with one snippet.
Talk to a human, and rate the answers
Let website chats reach your team, and collect ratings and inaccuracy reports on every answer.
Recognise a signed-in visitor, and draft replies for your team
Recognise signed-in visitors, decide what the agent may remember, and draft replies for your team.
What is kept, and how to hold on to it
Choose what is kept of a conversation, and freeze a project's records when something is disputed.
Test your agent before it goes live
Keep a golden set of questions, run it against your draft, and let a failing run block the deploy.
Recognise what callers ask, read how they felt, and guard both sides
Define the requests your agent recognises, see how each conversation felt, and keep the safety screens.
Test your agent with scripted scenarios
The Testing tab runs scripted UAT conversations on the live agent, with per-turn checks.
Operations Agent
Operations agent overview
An agent that talks to nobody: it runs a flow of actions when something happens, such as a finished PBX call, a webhook or a schedule. Start here.
Operations agent: triggers
What can start a run (a finished PBX call, a webhook, a schedule, another agent, a manual run) and how to capture a real event with Listen.
Operations agent: steps
Every action you can put on the board, from downloading and transcribing a recording to email, webhooks, conditions and handing work to other agents.
Operations agent: storage (S3)
Keep recordings, transcripts and reports on your own storage with the S3 and AWS S3 steps: buckets, files and folders, with links that expire.
Operations agent: designing and testing
Build a board from a template or with AI, test the whole flow or a single step, and use the history, export and import to change it safely.
Operations agent: email templates
Give the emails your operations agents send your own branded layout: one shared library for the account, picked per Send email step, previewed live.
Operations agent: runs, retries and reports
What every run records, how steps retry and skip, how to retry by hand, and the runs report for all agents with its Excel export.
Operations agent: pricing
Runs are billed in automation minutes from your plan's minutes: 25% of your call rate, 30 seconds minimum per run, 5 report questions included.
Knowledge
Knowledge: answering from your own documents
Collections, documents, and what publishing actually does.
Add content to a collection
Type it, upload a file, or point at a page or your website.
Import from your own storage bucket
Register a bucket once, import a whole folder of files, and refresh it for almost nothing.
Send a document for review
What in review means, who can move a document, and what it deliberately does not enforce.
Let an agent answer from a collection
Attach collections on the agent's Knowledge tab, then deploy.
Live data sources (menu, price list, stock)
Connect a URL you own; the agent reads the current snapshot at the start of every call.
The agent does not know something that is in there
Five checks, in the order that finds it fastest.
Agent tools
Contacts and PBX integration (Yeastar)
Keep your contact book in the console and connect a Yeastar P-Series Cloud PBX: callers recognised, unknown callers added, every call journalled.
Agent tools (overview)
What tools are, how to enable them, and how to use them in the prompt.
Hang up (end the call)
End the call politely when the caller is done.
Cold transfer (forward the call)
Forward the caller straight to a number or endpoint.
Warm transfer (briefed hand-off)
Put the caller on hold, brief a colleague, then bridge them in.
Keypad tones (press digits)
Send keypad tones on the caller’s behalf, e.g. to navigate a menu.
Custom tools (call your own systems)
Let the agent look things up or take actions in your systems mid-call.
Calendar
Scheduling with the Calendar
Let people book time with you, from a link, the API, or an agent on a call.
FAQ
Why don't calls reach my agent?
Usually the number is not attached to the agent, or the agent is not deployed.
My agent interrupts callers. How do I fix it?
Turn interruptions off, or raise the interruption sensitivity.
My agent waits too long, or replies to half-sentences
Adjust the end-of-turn sensitivity and reply delay.
My agent hangs up in the middle of a call
Increase the max call length or the hang-up-after-silence value.
How do I make my agent speak another language?
Set the primary language and add secondary languages.
How do I get a call summary by email?
Add a recipient to the email recap on the Notifications tab.
How do I transfer a caller to a human?
Enable transfer, add the destination on Security, and prompt for it.
Can the agent connect to my CRM or booking system?
Yes, via custom tools added through the API / MCP.
How do I test an agent before it goes live?
Use Preview to chat or place a test call, then Deploy.
What's the difference between Save and Deploy?
Save keeps a draft; Deploy publishes it to live calls.
